The guide

Getting started with Mansira.

Mansira helps with your day and your client work, and it lives on your own computer. When you ask Claude for help, Mansira first shows you exactly what it will send, and nothing happens until you say so. Setting up takes about thirty minutes, once.

Version 1.0, JhilmilMac Apple chip, macOS 13 or laterWindows 10 or 11, 64-bit

How do I…

1What you need

  • A Mac with an Apple chip (M1 or later) on macOS 13 Ventura or later. To check, open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. If it shows an older version, update first in System Settings, General, Software Update. Or a Windows 10 or 11 PC, 64-bit.
  • Your own Claude account on a paid plan: Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise. The free plan does not work. Always use your own account, never someone else's.
  • An internet connection when you ask Claude for something. Everything else works offline.
  • About 1 GB of free space.

2Install Mansira

On a Mac

  1. Your copy of Mansira comes as a file called Mansira-1.0.0-arm64.dmg. Double-click it.
  2. A small window opens with the Mansira icon and your Applications folder. Drag Mansira onto Applications.
  3. Open Mansira from Applications, or press ⌘ Space, type Mansira and press Return.
  4. The first time, macOS asks whether you are sure you want to open an app downloaded from the internet. Click Open. Mansira is signed and checked by Apple, so it asks only once.

On Windows

The file is Mansira-Setup-1.0.0.exe. Double-click it; it installs for you alone and needs no administrator password. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.

3Answer a few questions

When Mansira opens for the first time, it asks a few short questions: your name, your kind of work, the services you offer, your language, and how much help you want. You can skip any of them and change everything later in Help & Settings.

For how much help you want, Work with me is a good start. You ask for a plan when you are ready, and Mansira stops for your review at every decision. Under What stays yours, list the parts you always do yourself, such as final creative choices.

4Connect your Claude account

  1. Click Help & Settings. The first tab is Claude connection.
  2. If Official client installed says not found, click Install Claude Code, then Yes, open the installer. A Terminal (or PowerShell) window opens once and runs Anthropic's own installer. You don't need to type anything. When it finishes, close that window and click Check again.
  3. Click Open Claude sign-in and sign in with your own Claude account.
  4. Back in Mansira, click Check again. Official client installed should say yes, and Your sign-in should say subscription.

Mansira never asks for your password and never sees it. It uses Anthropic's own app, signed in as you, and never turns on extra paid usage.

5Practise with the pretend client

Do this once before any real client. Nothing here is real, so you can't break anything.

  1. Click Clients, then Add synthetic demo client. A pretend client called "Demo Home Studio" appears. Click Open.
  2. Look at Agreed scope: what is included, what is not, the fee and the due date. Mansira compares every request against this agreement.
  3. Under New request from this client, click Use the sample brief for a rehearsal, then Save brief.
  4. Click What will be sent? to see the exact text Claude will receive, and about how many words that is. Your name, the fee, the payment status and your private notes are not sent, unless you typed them into the brief itself.
  5. Click Ask Claude for a plan. This uses your Claude plan and takes about 15 to 60 seconds.
  6. Read the plan and the draft. If something asked for is outside what you agreed, Mansira says so, and you choose: not included, goodwill with the fee unchanged, or quote separately later.
  7. Change the draft with Edit draft if you like, then click Approve and save locally.
  8. Click Give feedback under the saved work and write what you would change. Mansira turns it into a suggestion, and nothing changes until you approve it in My Way.

Demo plan (no AI) gives a pretend plan without using Claude. It is only for practice.

6Your day

Today shows one thing now, then two more, and the rest behind a tap. Things you didn't finish come forward kindly; nothing is ever called late or overdue.

  • Quick capture: press ⌘ Shift Space on a Mac, or Ctrl Shift Space on Windows, anywhere, and type or say whatever is on your mind. It waits in your Inbox until you sort it.
  • Focus 25 min (or 45) puts just that one task on the screen with a quiet timer. Work with me keeps you company instead: a small card in the corner checks in every 20 minutes with one line and a soft sound. Nothing is recorded.
  • Routines: in Help & Settings, Your day, list a few small morning and evening steps. Today shows the right list at the right time. Ticks reset every night.
  • Your calendars: in Your day, add a calendar link (from Apple or Google Calendar) or a calendar file. Mansira only reads it; your appointments appear on Today. Before a call that names a client, Today offers what to remember about them.
  • That's enough for today closes the day with a small moment. Then Tell me about tomorrow: say or write what tomorrow holds, and Claude turns it into a short list. You check every time it heard, pick the one thing that matters most, and press Plan it.
  • Look back on this week shows what you finished and saved. Save to print or Save for my phone makes a one-page card of today.

7A client's page

Each client has a private workspace. Record the Agreed scope first, so every request can be compared against it. Then, under New request from this client, paste or speak the brief.

What kind of help

  • Plan and first draft: a clear brief, a short plan and a first written draft of the agreed work.
  • Creative directions: two to four genuinely different directions with one recommendation. Add "My idea:" to the brief to have your own idea developed first.
  • Research for a decision: answers one decision using only the material you supplied, separating what it says from interpretation.
  • Distribution diagnosis: how people find and choose the client, and the smallest test to check the likely break.
  • Shoot pack: call sheet, shot list and props. Anything to buy is marked "ask before buying"; nothing is booked or bought.

How much thinking

Under How much thinking? choose for each request, and change it on the request later:

ChoiceWhat it means
QuickA shorter answer with fewer items. Good for simple requests.
UsualThe right amount of thinking for most requests. This is where it starts.
Think harderA stronger model for a hard brief. It takes longer and uses about twice as much of your Claude plan.

On a plan you are reviewing, Ask again with more thinking asks the same request once more with Think harder.

More on the page

  • Paste a conversation: copy a WhatsApp, Instagram or email chat and paste it. Claude reads it once and lists what was asked. You check every date and amount, then add what you want to Today or as new requests. The chat itself is not kept.
  • Retainer: for clients who pay monthly, set the hours or regular work. Log time with one tap and get a month-end report, plus a copy that is safe to share.
  • Content calendar: plan posts on a month grid and mark each one planned, drafted, approved by the client, or posted by you. Mansira never posts.
  • Moodboard: drop pictures in, iPhone photos too. They stay on your computer and are never sent to Claude. You can let Claude know what a picture shows in your own words. Make a reel turns the pictures you pick and your captions into a short video, made on your computer, for you to post yourself.
  • What to remember about them: one page with the agreement, what's open, your notes and the next two weeks.

8Speak instead of typing

  1. Go to Help & Settings, then Voice. Choose Balanced (recommended), click Download, then Yes, download it (about 80 MB, once).
  2. The first time you speak, your computer asks whether Mansira may use the microphone. Click Allow.
  3. Under Words Mansira should know, add brand names and places you often say. Your client names are already included. When one sounds misheard, Mansira asks "Did you mean?" and you choose.

Your voice is turned into text on your computer. The recording is never saved or sent. Mansira asks you to confirm amounts, dates and numbers before you use the text.

9Talk to Mansira

Click Talk to Mansira in the sidebar, or press ⌘ Shift M (Ctrl Shift M on Windows), and just say it.

Going somewhere

It understands you on your computer and sends nothing to Claude. Answers are spoken aloud unless you turn that off or use calm mode. You can always type instead.

10Your ways of working

My Way holds the way you like work done, in your own words: for one client, or for all your work. Mansira follows them in every request, and never uses one you haven't approved.

  • Give feedback on a saved piece of work and Mansira suggests a way of working from it.
  • Learn from my edits: once you have edited a few drafts before approving them, Claude looks at the parts you changed and suggests ways of working. Each shows the exact words you changed; you choose which to use.
  • Save my way as a zine prints your ways of working as a little booklet.

11Sharing and your website

Share with this client makes a separate copy of the work you choose. It never includes fees, payment status, your private notes, your ways of working, or anything about other clients. Click Preview as the client sees it, then Save a copy to…, and send the file yourself, the way you always do. Mansira never sends anything to anyone.

My website builds a simple personal website draft from the work you choose, and it stays on your computer. When you're ready, Put my website online walks you through a free Netlify site step by step. Nothing goes online until you press Publish, and you can undo the last publish.

12Make it yours

  • In Help & Settings, Look and sound: morning light, evening light, or follow your computer. Calm mode turns off movement and sound.
  • Mansira's own lines (the little things it says, like "done. nice.") can be English or Hinglish. Buttons and settings stay in English.
  • In About Mansira you can choose your own pictures for the little opening Mansira plays once a day.

13Keep a backup

In Help & Settings, Backup and support, click Choose a folder for daily backups and pick a USB drive or a cloud-synced folder. Mansira then makes a checked backup once a day while it is open. You can also Back up now, Check a backup, or Restore to a new folder at any time; your current workspace is never overwritten.

Backups are not encrypted, so keep them somewhere private.

14Your Claude plan and updates

In Help & Settings, Claude connection, Your Claude plan shows how much of this week and of the current five-hour window you have used, as Claude reported it after your last request, and how big each kind of request usually is. Voice, Today, your records and everything else on your computer use none of it.

In About Mansira, Check for updates asks this site for the newest version number, only when you press it. Nothing about you or your work is sent, and nothing is downloaded or installed by itself. To update, install the new file over the old app; all your records stay, and Mansira makes a safety copy first.

What Mansira never does

  • Send messages or files to clients, or post anything.
  • Publish anything on its own, or change ads. Your website goes online only when you press Publish.
  • Pay for anything, book anything, or turn on paid usage.
  • Use a client's material that you didn't add to that client.
  • Change your ways of working without your approval.

If something goes wrong

Mansira explains problems in plain words and says what to do next. If you are stuck, go to Help & Settings, then Backup and support, and find Support report. Click Preview report, then Save report to a file, and send the file to whoever set up Mansira for you. The report has no client names, briefs or drafts.
